Start your favorite Web browser and open the js-eight.html or js-eight. htm file to view the file as a Web page. The resulting Web page should initially look like Figure 7–8. After successive two-second delays, the image should change to look like Figure 7–9, Figure 7–10, and Figure 7–11. Then, the entire sequence should repeat.
In this step-by-step, you modify the Web document you created in the previous step-by-step. You remove the select() function and insert two new functions named do Back() and doNext() that respond to the user’s input. You also add some additional HTML code to make the Web page look nicer.
1. Open Notepad, SimpleText, or your favorite text editor if it is not already open.
2. If the js-nine.html or js-nine.htm file is not already open in the text editor, click File on the menu bar and then click Open to open the js-nine.html or js-nine.htm file you created in the previous step-by-step. 3. Click File on the menu bar, click Save As, and then save the file as js-ten.html or js-ten.htm in the same folder to preserve the js-nine.html file.
