There are numerous standardized scales devised specifically for measuring different aspects of the quality of the relationship between a parent and child and the quality of family relationships (e.g., Fischer & Corcoran, 2007a; Touliatos, Perlmutter, & Holden, 2001). Moreover, the available measures include ones that are designed to obtain information from the perspective of parents, children, and practitioners.
