STEPS 2/3 · Think about the following steps/questions to help you deconstruct the source’s perspective and links to globalization. STEP 2/3-PERSPECTIVE OF THE SOURCE: Does the source EMBRACE/SUPPORT, CRITICIZE, or REJECT globalization? GOOD/EMBRACE/SUPPORT = Believes that globalization is a positive influence in society and should be encouraged/promoted. CRITICIZE = Believes that globalization can lead or has led to many challenges in society and might need to be re-evaluated or changed. · Can be illustrating a flaw of globalization or posing a warning about the dangers of “extreme” globalization BAD/REJECTS = Believes that globalization is a negative influence in society and should not be encouraged/promoted. STEP 2/3-TYPE OF GLOBALIZATION: · Is there a specific type of globalization the source is referencing? o SOCIAL o POLITICAL o ECONOMIC o ENVIRONMENTAL · What specific course concepts or vocabulary can the source be connected to?
