Speech: Persuasive "Values" Presentation

No unread replies. No replies.

After practicing as much as possible, you'll want to do positive visualization and relaxation exercises along with any other techniques which help calm your nerves and prepare you to give a confident and energized speech. (Review Unit 2 for tips on reducing speaker apprehension.)

Remember:
You will
not
be permitted to use your outline for your final speech and you will
not
be permitted to record yourself glancing away from the camera to look at your outline. Likewise, you cannot use the computer screen to read your outline and you are not encouraged to memorize your speech.

Please realize also that
you will be asked to re-record your speech if you edit any part of the video.
Your presentation must be uploaded as one continuous speech, meaning you may not submit your speech video with numerous different "takes".

Finally:
The syllabus states that you will only receive credit for presenting an extemporaneous speech. This means you cannot improvise (make it up as you go along) and you cannot simply read from your outline. You've had the opportunity during these past weeks to fully prepare, research, outline, and prepare note cards from your outline. You are expected to present your speech using those note cards while making direct eye contact with the camera lens, using a conversational style of language, and incorporating gestures, facial expressions, and body language.

So, once you feel confident and ready to go, record and upload your final Persuasive "Values" Speech here.

During the rest of the week view as many of your classmates' speeches as you can-- providing constructive feedback to at least 5 of your classmates.

Bottom line: There is no "final exam" in this class. You need to consider this speech a culmination of your learning experience. You'll want to take this seriously

I now its not a video just my speech.
