Some researchers have suggested that adolescence is followed by a period of "Emerging Adulthood" that characterizes the developmental period from the early to late 20's. However, many other researchers do not believe that this stage is universal (i.e., experienced by everyone) and argue that there are many different paths that an individual take to reach adulthood. Do you think that we all experience a stage of development that could be characterized as "Emerging Adulthood"? Why or why not?
