Some of these traits include integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness. Next, ethical leaders demonstrate ethical behaviors through their actions. Some of these actions include: (1) “doing the right thing” or engaging in activities that are morally correct; (2) showing concern for people by treating them with respect, dignity, and trust; (3) being open (having candor), which involves being a good listener and approachable where employees can share their concerns and issues without fear of reprisal; and (4) personal morality, which requires making sure that a manager’s personal morality is not in question.
