Good Day to You! I found this week's post extremely interesting and intriguing since it encourages to explain the advocacy, connects it with our experience and offers us a platform to implement the concepts learned in the class. Well, I believe that the case advocacy implies to activities based on behalf of certain person. In my personal experience, majority of cases will be advocating for the a single person advocacy. It aims to enable and defend one's identity, environment and all the aspects encompassing in his life. As per the Kirst-Ashman & Hull 2018, advocacy can be leveraged as a strategy in the GIM that implies as a social worker one can select the most effective way, she or he believe one can support the client. In my prior experience, I have worked with elderly people who are facing the problem of depression and seclusion. I have spent several weeks advocating for the elderly people whose family fail to support them when parents needed the most. I think that this assistance to the elder folks turns into what can be regarded as cause advocacy' since I would have to enlist other stakeholders on the case.
