Given the police killing of black youths in urban cities in the US and the rise of the black lives matter movements call for reform and justice; and given the global problem of jihadist terrorism and the radicalization of some Muslim youths the leadership of both these communities have uncritically embraced community policing as a solution to what many people and experts see as an endemic criminogenic culture in pockets of both the black community, as ell as in the Islamic community. Are these people and experts right to characterize these communities has having criminogenic culture? Why do the leaders of these community look to community policing for the solutions? What are the contradictions of community policing that the leaders of the black Islamic communities not understanding as to why community policing may not be the solution to the problem? In your subjective opinion what solutions would you offer to the problem of violent radicalization of some Muslims youth and the violent orientation of some black youths?
