When we think about the 50 years into the future, the first thought that comes into my mind in the boom in population growth. There has been creasing rate of births and now several countries face the risk of over population. With such drastic increase in the number of individuals inhabiting the Earth, the future would look more promising with sustainable housing or multiple family households. The crunch in space would mean that many small families would out to live in multi households. It is already evident that multi-generational families are rising considerably (Silverstein, 2019). Much like the Liberty Village in Toronto, we would see the rise in nuclear families living in multi households.
Families have always been the microcosm of society or the ushers of moral outrage. We should think that the future holds more open and positive outlook among families. Cultural acceptance and modern outlook would see the rise of polyamorous relationships (Kaiser, 2019). If we consider the living expenses and the soaring rents in urban areas much further into the future, it actually makes sense that the boundaries of family and exclusive relationships will tend to change....
