Single-system designs provide reasonably objective and systematic information for monitoring changes in client conditions over time so that you, the practitioner, can adapt appropriately and in a timely fashion. Important targets and special factors (placed on charts) don’t get lost in the shuffle because they are all there on the charts. This continuous record differs considerably from traditional pretest and posttest group designs.
