Single-system designs are essentially theory independent—or, more accurately, theory neutral—in the sense that they are usable by practitioners adhering to just about any practice theory. They can be applied to the practice of any practitioner who can be reasonably clear about what targets and what interventions are being used, and who is willing to obtain ongoing measures on these targets.
