In the current scenario we know
that the Us president is elected by the electoral college process which is often considered as cumbersome and controversial process. The Us president is elected for a tenure of four years. In this process the candidate needs to hit 270 or more electoral votes out of 538 electros in the electoral college. These 538 electors happen to be from all the states of the country. In simple language the voters vote for the electors, the members of the electoral college who then votes for the presidential candidates and the one with the majority numbers becomes the US president.
