The word violence or an act of violence can be better described as the use of physical force so as to injure, abuse, damage, or destroy. There is also a terminology called as collective violence. Collective violence can either be spontaneous or a planned act. This is an extreme form of collective behaviour expression of a large number of people or for that matter a crowd, while responding to a common stimulus. This is an extreme representation of the behaviour of people in a group while reacting to the scenarios which are perceived as uncertain, threatening, or extremely attractive. Collective violence can be caused by feelings of relative deprivation and dissatisfaction with basic human needs.
