The focus of the cases assessed concerns the Rohingya migration crisis, that is, the systematic violence of Myanmar government on Rohingya people leading them to cross across the borders and enter Bangladesh where they are welcomed (MSF, 2017; UN News, 2017a; UN News, 2017b). However, they are at present living refugee camps in cramped spaces and danger to young, old, women, and all others on account of various issues like hygiene and dangers of infectious disease spreading. In addition to these dangers, there are issues of basic access and protection of human rights (MSF, 2017; UN News, 2017a; UN News, 2017b).
In light of this situation, the efforts from Medicines Sans Frontier (“MSF”), United Nations International Organization for Migrations (“IOM”), United Nations Children Fund (“UNICEF”), UN’s Word Health Organization (“WHO”), etc. are exemplary and stand evidence to the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, and impartiality (MSF, 2017; UN News, 2017a; UN News, 2017b). In terms of humanity, IOM has undertaking various efforts to ensure the safe passage of the Rohingya people and also ensure an accessible camp with basic hygiene and safety for the people moving into the refugee camps. Further WHO has also undertaken efforts for alleviating their suffering by way of arranging vaccination camps for prevention of the spread of infectious diseases. In terms of neutrality, both MSF and OIM have called for peace and humane treatment from all relevant governments and their efforts have been neutral irrespective of what group the people belong to. Further, the care, access, and protection offered is undertaken in a manner that is impartial and showing no discrimination over the basis of gender, ethnic origin, political opinions, nationality, religion or race, and relief shall be guided solely on account of needs (MSF, 2017; UN News, 2017a; UN News, 2017b).
