Shoot to score, again The coach, still working with his superstar from Exercise 12, went on to suggest the player shoot more. Hopeful for 150 shots for the season, he calculated a 95% prediction interval for the number of goals this player might score. If the prediction interval for goals scored was (6.03, 24.25), interpret the meaning of this interval with a sentence in context.
Exercise 12
Shoot to score, double overtime One of the coach’s best players has been in a slump, and the coach is trying to convince him to take more shots. Last year, the player took 104 shots. Would the standard error of the predicted number of goals he shot be larger or smaller than the standard error of the mean predicted number of all players who took 104 shots? Explain briefly.
