Sheets of graphene oxide (OG) have been shown to be a material with unique structural characteristics compared to other two-dimensional carbon materials. The characterization of this material involves the determination of several parameters, such as a distribution of leaf sizes. The characterization of a material provided an average size of 256 nm with a standard deviation of 86 nm for the graphene oxide sheets. Later tests of toxicity evaluation showed dimensions with smaller sizes 200 later sizes will present a significantly lower toxicity than the others.
a)Considering that the size of the leaves follows a normal distribution, determine the percentage of leaves that present sizes between 100 and 200 nm.
b)Graph the size distribution of graphene oxide sheets and highlight an area under the curvature that corresponds to the given given in item (a).
