Prepare the Critical Question Response paper by doing the following:
--Think carefully about the question posed.
--Decide and review carefully the class readings from which you want to draw to address the question.
--For your paper, reframe the question as a thesis and draft your essay, using the readings to make an argument that addresses the original question.
In your essay you are required to engage no less than two (2) and no more than three (3) pieces from the class readings. You are encouraged to draw from assigned films and other materials used in class. In addition to referencing and/or drawing from readings and films, you can also reference information from in-class discussions; however, in-class discussions do not count as readings or films.
Choose option A OR B:
Critical Question A: Examine how culture influences gender and sexual identities and experiences in a particular social geography covered in class. You are encouraged to use readings that we will read later in the course schedule.
Critical Question B: Drawing from class discussions and readings, propose a definition of sexual hegemony? Discuss how sexual hegemony functions within a society or community? How do people resist sexual hegemony? Please provide examples as part of your argument.
For either of these Critical Question options below is a list of some of the concept/analytics discussed in class from which you can choose to help make your argument:
