    Sexual harassment is a serious concern in the workplace and can cause significant emotional and mental distress for victims (Jones & Lee, 2019). It can come in many different forms, including unwelcome sexual advances, comments, or gestures that make an individual feel uncomfortable, intimidated, or offended. In this scenario, Reese Smith, a female employee in a small sales department, is exposed to discussions of sexual nature and sexual jokes by her male co-workers, and she feels uncomfortable.
    To determine whether Reese is being sexually harassed, we need to examine whether the elements of sexual harassment are present. Sexual harassment is considered to have occurred if an individual is subjected to unwelcome sexual conduct that creates a hostile or offensive working environment (Lee, 2021). It can also occur if the conduct affects a term or condition of employment, such as promotions, pay, or job assignments. In Reese's case, the discussions of sexual nature in the break room by her male co-workers may constitute sexual harassment if they are unwanted and make her uncomfortable.
