Severe anxiety can negatively affect the way children behave in performing daily life. Research has shown that up to 90% of children with untreated anxiety will suffer from anxiety or other mental disorder as an adult. My research will focus on Evidence – Based Interventions for Anxiety Disorder in Children of Early School Age. It will investigate the key term “anxiety disorders” in relation to young children and focus mainly on the commonly diagnosed ones. It will investigate the symptoms and the identification processes of the chosen anxiety disorder among the early school age children between 2-5 years. The main objective is to evaluate the impacts of anxiety disorder in this age group and on their family. It will examine how early interventions are provided to them. Then, critically analyse various interventions and treatments accessible to children who are affected by this mental health issue and the role that the society at large plays
