Self-fulfillment through free expression is, in a Locke an sense, a natural, intrinsic, and inalienable right that we are endowed with at birth. The second of the four conditions that emanate from freedom of expression and are vital to a democratic society is a progression toward truth through an unfettered “marketplace of ideas.”
