Divide into teams. Identify an HCO (hospital or other type) in your local community and try to find out how it uses informatics and applies meaningful use. You can focus on the entire organization or select a department or a unit. Are there any future plans to increase the use of informatics? Teams should then compare and contrast their information.

In a team, develop six questions to ask a nurse who works in a hospital that uses an EMR. Each student on the team then interviews one registered nurse. After the interviews, combine your data and analyse the results.
