Co-innovation Builder
Designed by CORSHIP (Corporate Eduprenuership), The Co-innovation Builder is a tool which can be used to collaborate by corporates and start-ups. It is not limited to these two and can be used by all types of oganisations. The tool is divided into three categories. The start-up and corporate on the left and right sides of the builder lists the following:
What drives the collaboration?
Who are the decision-makers in the collaboration?
Who else can be identified as the contributors to the collaboration?
What are the available resources that add value to the collaboration?
What are the returns that are expected by the collaboration?
The collaboration further lists the following:
The goal of the collaboration i.e. what can both the parties agreeing to collaborate can achieve together,
The format talks about the mode of collaboration that will benefits both the parties involved,
The outcomes defines the long and short term consequences that are in effect as a result of the collaboration,
The risks studies the SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunities and threat) analysis of the collaboration,
Lastly, the KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and milestones are set in order to determine how beneficial the collaboration is.
Case-Study
Digital signage solution to enhance customer journey in pharmacies
The case-study takes us through a dialogue between Shane, the founder of a digital signage start-up named DigiPharma and Monica, the retail manager of a pharmacy corporate HealthActiv. We learn through the conversation that HeathActiv that has it’s presence over 24 countries is struggling to attract customers to their pharmacies. They are aware of their stores being obsolete and wish to add-value to their brand so that customer experience is enhanced. Shane, who is an expert in providing digital solutions, presents installation of digital screens in the pharmacies as a strategy to resolve the situation. He emphasizes on the need to stay relevant in the digital era through upscaling technology. Shane also provides ways through which over-the-counter sales can be improved along with the customer experience. Thus, equipping the stores with digital screens and managing the content with respect to the specific pharmacy is sure to increase OTC product sales and add value. Further, the digital space created will be used for commercial advertising which will result in investment return. The founder is looking to build his client base and nurture successful innovate relationships by providing his digital expertise. The retail manager is interested to collaborate with the start-up as it provides solution to her current requirements. With the satisfaction that DigiPharma will be able to equip 1000 HealthActiv pharmacies with digital screens in a span of 2 years, Monica agrees to take the process further by setting up meetings.
Task
My task here is to help both the companies plan a future collaboration using the Co-innovation Builder. I have analysed and completed the tool for both the companies and the collaboration and added it to the at the end of the report i.e. Attachment 1:Co-innovation Builder.
