Problem of the study
At present digital technology is the most sought after domain where compnaies are investing heavily. It is the latest and tech savvy method to connect with customers, to allow remote and hybrid working and achieve dynamic capacities. It is being used widely to create economic values in businesses. The procedural frameworks are used as tools but theory based methods are not given due importance for the prediction of future usage of digital technology.In the research article the hemophilia firms were investigated and the empirical assessment of business model theory was done to use theoretical models as a predictive tool for future predictions.
Theoretical basis
The business model theory is being studied since decades and is based on two driving forces:
(i) The rise of techonology based firms which were able to create economic value with unmatched magnitude and pace.
(ii) The incapability of strategic management and entrepreneurship theory which was not supportive enough to explain and predict the value creation.
This can be explained with a reference to the time when Apple launched Iphone and it was criticised on the basis of reviews about resources and industry it belongs to, innovation, network capacities and performance that the product will not be able to make its mark in the market.
