Select a health documentary from those provided on BlackBoard. Using references from the weekly and further reading guides in the unit outline, examine the programme’s understanding of the health issue it covers.
Guidelines:
a)    briefly summarise what aspects of health issues the programme covered and how it dealt with it, i.e., use the programme like you would a written text; this is important: last year, some students ignored the valuable information the programme provided and its ‘take’ on the health issue and missed opportunities that were available to them; but take care also not to turn your essay into a simple summary of the programme;
b)    discuss the health issue (and programme’s coverage of it) in relation to how it is understood in scholarly and academic material;
c)    conclude with your own informed evaluation of programme’s coverage of health issue with recommendations for improvement/change if appropriate.


References: at least eight references must be drawn from weekly and further reading guides in this outline. Your essay will be marked down by at least one grade if you ignore this requirement.
