Assignment Topic:
Write a performance report of Société Générale Bank that is intended for non-executive directors of an investment group who are seeking to add banks to their investment portfolio but have no specialist knowledge of banks as opposed to any other type of business.
The Report is separated into two parts:
Part A:
1) Introduction
2) Explanation and assessment of the following significant measures in relation to bank for the
last 6 years (Financial Reports for each year are attached).
For the above, compute the following:
· Capital adequacy of the bank: Calculate capital adequacy for each year. Show the calculations. Then create a table with each year capital adequacy and analyse briefly what means in each year.
· Asset Quality: Use two different formulas to calculate Assets quality and briefly describe what it means for each year.
· Liquidity: Use two different formulas to calculate Liquidity and then create a table with each year and briefly describe what it means for each year.
· Leverage: Calculate Leverage for each year (one formula) and describe briefly what it means.
· Profitability: Calculate profitability using two different formulas for each year. Show the calculations. Then create a table with each year profitability and analyse briefly what means in each year.
Word Count for Part 1:
Must be 750 words (no more) and the words must be distributed equally in each section.
Tables:
Each Table must have a title and must be fully understandable for the reader to understand without even read the analysis.
Part B:
1) Part B must include the past performance and the prospects of Société Générale from an investor view point using information from the Part A and other analysis for research. The information must be relevant and must be clearely written from investors point of view. It should clearly analyse the bank performance and the future prospects with reasoning and analysis.
Word Count for Part B: 750 words (no more).
