How critical is it for a first-line supervisor to be aware of and make attempts to stop sexual harassment? What proactive steps can supervisors take to combat sexual harassment? Question # 2 ( 2-4 pages) Write a 2–4-page paper (excluding cover page) responding to the following: Officer James Armstrong, School Resource Officer at Riverside High School, has discovered spray-painted graffiti on the concession stand of the school’s football field. Question #3 ( one paragraph) Topic: The Flu, Coronaviruses, and Vaccines Humans have been plagued by disease throughout history and just about everyone has experienced a virus like influenza (flu) or common cold at some point in time. During your life, you will probably have more cold or flu infections than any other type of illness. Humans have an amazing immune system that helps them fight foreign invaders, but sometimes the way your body fights these invaders causes unpleasant side effects that are often treated with over-the-counter medications. Scientists have attempted to research, identify, and understand the various causes of disease and illness. In modern times, researchers have identified specific viruses and bacteria that are responsible for outbreaks around the globe. Some of these include influenza, E. coli, rhinovirus, Salmonella, HIV, and Listeria just to name a few. While bacteria and viruses both cause illness, they act very differently in the body and the treatments also vary. Antibiotics can be used to kill bacterial infections and vaccines have been developed to prevent the spread of viruses. One example of a type of virus that causes disease is the coronavirus. This group of viruses are named for the crown-like spikes on their surface, and several types of coronavirus have been identified. Some are responsible for common-cold symptoms, and others have been linked to more serious diseases including MERS and SARS. In late 2019, a novel (new) coronavirus was detected and quickly spread around the world. Labeled COVID-19 (CO=corona, VI=virus, D=disease, 19=2019), this new coronavirus is highly contagious and life-threatening. Similar to the flu, COVID-19 is passed from infected people to healthy individuals, causing a range of symptoms and outcomes. Conduct your own research on the flu, coronaviruses (including COVID-19), the common cold, and vaccines, and then answer the questions for this discussion.
