SBE is an emerging and expanding educational modality in the health professions. In thinking about the types of simulation commonly used in today's educational practice and those under development:
1. As an educator, which modes or types of simulation do you see as most promising in helping to bridge the gap between academic and clinical practice? Why? How might your students react to different modes of simulation? Why might they react this way?
2. As a student, which types or modes of simulation do you feel most comfortable engaging with currently? How close are these types of simulation to mimicking realistic clinical practice? Do you see a benefit to experiencing all types of simulation in your development as a healthcare professional? Why or why not?
