Introduction
    The expectancy theory correlates the performance done by an individual and the reward expected. It is meant that a reward or recognition accelerates the behaviour of an individual towards the performance carried on by them. This dissertation focuses on how the expectancy theory raises the bar for the performance of an individual. It depicts how the expectancy theory is used positively for designing a reward system within an organization.
