Cultural Challenges
In this case, there are several cul
tural changes found that are creating problems to the
managers in adopting the project management within McElroy Translation Company. This is
leading company that provides the translation services to the established clients, but due to
change in culture, the needs of clients also changed which created problem for this company.
The main challenges were associated with the requirements of clients, because they were a
variety of work translation and need localization. The project manager was unable that what the
client actually needs and what they were providing. There was a little communication among
them which was also creating challenge to provide the translation services to the clients (Kerzner
and International Institute for Learning, 2010).
In addition, the challenge related to deliverables also found, because the client were not
getting that they actually needed. For example, the clients needed translation localized for
Mainland China and the project manager provided Taiwan in place of this localized area. So,
these kinds of challenges were creating problems to employees, project managers as well as
business clines. Apart from this, McElroy Translation also faced the challenge to offer a
combination of long term relationship and consistency between employees and clients. In 1990,
