1. Here we are in Chapter 12, the height of the Middle Ages. The word, Gothic, is applied to both the era, itself, and its architecture. In the Power Point we see the origin of that term, Gothic. Do we agree with those who came up with the title of the period?
2. When we look though Chapter 12, we see 27 figures, and of that number only 2 would be considered secular. What does that tell us about this era? Of the 25 figures that are non-secular, which 3 do you think are the strongest representatives of the Middle Ages? Why?
