1. Introduction
1.1 Background of the Research
Employees have a number of contributions to the success of an organisation. The different works and services of the employees act as the different pillars of success for an organisation. If the employees do not have enough job satisfaction then it can harm the outcome of the activities done by the employees of an organisation. It is the sole responsibility of an organisation to focus on the interests and needs of the employees (Raziq & Maulabakhsh, 2015). Thus, the employees will feel more accepted in the organisation and it will also increase their productivity within the organisation. That is the reason why job satisfaction is very important to motivate the employees to deliver more good quality jobs.
1.2 Significance of the Research
This research has been conducted in order to understand the exact relation between job satisfaction and employee motivation in Woolworths. The contribution of the different organisation and that of the senior authorised plays a major role in implementing job satisfaction within the employees. The employees have to be comfortable with the different infrastructure and the organisational environment of a company. How Woolworths can connect the job satisfaction with the employee motivation is analysed and examined through the course of this research (Mangkunegara & Octorend, 2015). That is the reason why conducting this research is significant in the present scenario.
1.3 Research Aim
This research aims at finding the relationship between job satisfaction and employee motivation. How job satisfaction can be the reason behind all the motivation and inspiration of the employees will be analysed and discussed through the course of this research.

In this age of globalisation, the market has fierce competition. That is the reason why every organisation has to come up with their best products and best strategies on the global platform. The employees play an important role in the achievement of a particular and stable platform in the global business forum.
Because of these reasons, the organisations need to know the different ways, through which they can provide enough job satisfaction to the employees. Recently Woolworths is facing problems in their productivity. The employee retainment and the engagement should be increased within the organisation (Bozeman & Su, 2015). For that, the organisation needs to implement job satisfaction. That is the reason why this research will be very important because it shows the ways, through which job satisfaction can increase employee engagement and their motivational quotient within the company.
2. Literature Review
2.1 Concept of Employee Motivation
Employee motivation refers to the increase in the enthusiasm and the energy and the commitment level of the employees in the organisation. The smooth running of the organisation is very much dependent on how the employees are enthusiastic about the work. The love for the work creates motivation in the employees, which results in the output of their work. The motivation of the employee is directly proportional to the amount of creativity put in the work.
Broadly, there are two types of employee motivation. The first one is intrinsic. Intrinsic motivation means where the employees feel motivated from within this comes from the love of the job. When employees love their work, they are bound to feel much more motivated from within. The second is Extrinsic. The extrinsic motivation comes from the organisation (Bozeman & Su, 2015). It is the duty of the leaders and other managers to create motivation through the adoption of different theories and policies.
