The construction business is the important contributors to financial development and growth. In addition to quality and cost, project schedules are considered to be very important aspect of construction management lifecycle and the key drivers of the project success. Despite its proven important, most of construction projects in both developed and developing countries face delays in progress, making it a worldwide long-term issue. Schedule delays and cost increases in a road construction project (Bal & Bryde, 2015). Also, because of poor management of schedule performance, the construction project is also subject to project delays and must be controlled because of the poor quality of working because of haste. The delays in the construction projects have been attracting the attention of the researchers for decade. Two kinds of research have been conducted in this field. The first transmit to elements that can cause delays in construction projects, while second relates to analysis of project delays reported.
Lack of experience of customer in the construction
According to (Islam & Trigunarsyah, 2017) determined that the lack of the experiences of the construction project customers has huge impact on the reasons for delays. Due to insufficient experience, especially for fresh developers, some project delays lead to customers. In most cases, customers face problems because they have no experience and don't understand how to resolve the difficulty immediately. Some work cannot be done while the customer finds a way to solve the problem (Brookes, 2013). Lastly, the whole project is delayed because of certain specific work delays.
Change order
According to (Lee, Kim & Lee, 2011), the factors that lead to the change order of the cause of the delay.
