Research project: Find a function from a textbook in auditing, marketing, or merchandising given by a formula that involves several variables. For each of the variables, try to reverse the role of variable and function by appropriately rewriting the formula. For example, if the function f is given by a formula involving three variables x, y, and z, then you are to try to write three new formulas: one for x involving f, y, and z; one for y involving f, x, and z; and one for z involving f, x, and y. For some formulas this task is too difficult; in that case find another formula to use. Carefully describe the original formula and its variables (including units), and explain how these new formulas could be used.
