(2) My statement of the position: Death is necessary to make life meaningful because the awareness of death motivates people to participate in meaningful activities; and death is the prevention of intolerant boredom, which is the result of immortal life.  (3) The key points: · The awareness of mortality is a motivator provoking people to live a meaningful life: - People with immortal life would postpone their activities as they have forever to do it. - The awareness of death triggers people to value their time, and therefore to live a fuller life.  - Human exhibits significant virtues when it comes to survival.  · Death prevents lives from being meaningless: - The definition of meaningful lives and meaningless lives: life only has meanings when people are passionate about pursuing their dreams and desires. - Each person has their own determined desires, which would be unchanging over time.
