Introduction
    The debate over keeping the criminal investigation and police arrest has emerged recently. In fact, with some noticeable events of the present time, it has been seen that the deaths of few people like George Floyd and Michael Brown has resulted in questioning of the police arrest methods. Overall, the need is felt to introduce programs which make the working of the police as transplant as possible. This is much awaited program which is expected to change the method of arrest and detention especially for the criminal cases in which, the role of the police remains under public doubts. Obama government introduced a three billion dollar program in this context which was applied with regard to wearing of body cameras by police officers has changed this scenario to a large extent.
Police Arrest and Convention
    At first, it is significant to note here that the procedure of arrest remains under the power of police authorities when they come to arrest someone. This includes formal investigation at times of the suspicious activities of the person who is about to get arrested. The traditional justice system also accepts the warrant or search and seizure system which gives the police authorities’ legal rights to detain someone. However, this conventional approach is challenged under some of the modern instances such as the forced arrest of George Floyd. At any given point of time, especially before the wearing of the body cameras program was introduced, this ‘forced arrest’ had no previous interpretations; they entirely would depend on the circumstances before the police officers and their word would serve as the final testimony in the court.
