An air conditioner of 4 kW capacity operates with R410a at the following conditions: The evaporation temperature is 5°C and the refrigerant leaves as saturated vapor. The condensation temperature is 50°C and the refrigerant leaves as saturated liquid. The condenser is cooled by outside air entering at 110 kPa and 35°C, and leaving at 102 kPa and 45°C. The isentropic efficiency of the compressor is 0.8 and its mechanical efficiency is 0.94.

b. Find the compressor power.
c. Find the COP.
d. Find the mass fl ow rate of the cooling water.
