Tonier Cain was a woman who lived on the streets of Annapolis, Maryland f
or 20 years. She spent her nights and days prostituting and frantically feeding her four babies and later addiction to alcohol. Tonier in her childhood wanted love from her mother. But, her mother was drug addicted and also alcoholic and wasn’t around her when she needed her the most.
Tonier was married to a 24 year man when she was just 17. She gave birth to a child but her husband left her with the child. Tonier was shocked and devastated. This forced Tonier to choose prostitution as a profession. Tonier suffered incidence of brutal rapes while being a prostitute. Four of her children were taken away by the social services. In 2004, there were 83 arrests warrants and 66 times she was convicted of criminal offences. She was arrested for crimes like addiction to cocaine, alcoholism, stealing of cheque and fraud.
