Theory of comparative advantage
Comparative advantage is said to be present when one economic agent can make a
good or provide a service at a lower trade-off cost than other, in terms of international trade it
is said to be present when one nation can produce a product or service at a lower next best
alternative cost than another.
Today textbooks try to present Adam Smith's theory of international trade but they
fall short of Smith's original views this is because of editing of Smith's ideas to include them
