Read the attached file first (Informational Letter to Investors and Presentation at a Staff Meeting) before you work on these two papers.
You’ll notice that these two assignments are bundled together. That’s because the changes at the company affect different stakeholders in different ways. Investors need to be notified of the new business model and need to know about expenditures and projected earnings. Employees need an overview of the business plan and need to know specifics about their jobs. Part of this assignment, then, is to determine which information in the bullets is needed by investors and which information is needed by employees. While there may be some overlap, different information should be presented to the different audiences.
Letter to Investors
-Letter format is shown in the attached file (Sample Business Letter Format).
-At the top left, you need to put the company’s name and address. (SeeMoji is the company name and its address: 3838 Livernois, Troy, MI 48083)
-The date follows.
-Underneath, you need to put the name and address of a specific investor, just like you receive junk mail addressed specifically addressed to you. Companies will often use a database of contacts for letters such as this so each letter has a specific person’s name. Use John Adams and Use this for the greeting as well (Dear Mr. Adams:)
-Keep the letter formal. Investors will expect this. It should not be longer than one page. Include only information investors need to know—the new business model, costs, and expected profits.
Presentation to Staff
-The presentationshould be 2 to 5 minutes (One written page). It should be enthusiastic and less formal than the letter.
-Include only information staff members need to know—an overview of the company’s direction with specifics about new people and training.
