Read textbook Chapter 21 and get familiar with the business planning tools (e.g., the Lean Canvas method, a Customer Plan, orthe Gumpert’s method). Select one of the business planning tools as your method of development.
For Stage 1 of this major project, you will work independently on a brief concept sustainable business plan for/as a local business (NSW, Australian) which addresses ONE environmental issue (the TEAM TOPIC).
Express your plan in a poster formattargeting an NGO that you’ve identified as a possible stakeholderwho would be interested in such a sustainable business plan for potential engagements.
Your plan will be showcased in the lecture during Week 7. You need to be ready to present your poster at the lecture.
Your Poster should exclude all financial parts of aplanning, such as ‘cost structure, revenue streams’.
Your Poster must include / address the following 8 aspects:
1) What is the opportunity?
2) What gives you special advantages in solving the problem? (the expertise can be adopted from outside the team, if you don’t think you are equipped with the
right advantages! You can ‘recruit’ anyone in your business plan to make your plan appealing to your target audience.)
3) How does your solution generate even small-scale benefits in achieving better level of sustainability tackling the selected environmental issue?
4) What makes you think that the people involved in your company are especially qualified to grow this business?
5) What is the business model?
6) How do you know you will have customers locally, globally, or glocally?
7) What are the risk factors?
8) How could this plan fit into this NGO’s agenda in forming the potential partnerships/collaborations?
