Introduction
By the virtue of this assignment, I have selected familial trend of cohabitation even without getting married. This sensitive topic demands extensive research to comprehend credible and supportive reso
urces. According to dictionary.com explains cohabitation as the act or state of living together including being emotionally and physically involved without committing for married. Furthermore, a Pew Research Center study from the year 2017 explains us that 60% of adults to have been cohabitated at certain point in their lives. Critically analyzing the research keywords as well as primary phrases, I will be utilizing: Cohabitation vs. Marriage, Advantage of cohabitation, Impacts of cohabitation on the society, decrease in rate at which people are getting married, cohabiting parents as well as stigma of cohabitation (Ben-Zeev, A., 2013).
When I perform, research with all these phrases it yields many journal articles that can be explained several benefits of cohabitation. There is a strong reason why more couples are selecting cohabitation prior and even before the marriage. Furthermore, a strong stigma surrounds the unmarried parents. In the year 2005 research performed by Brown, Bulanda and Lee also explain the health benefits of cohabitation among adults since they are dealing with least stress. Although the studies explains how the married couples in the demographics of 30 to 50 years are the happiest, the cohabiters are far more fulfilled and happier than the singles. To add on this, there are unwed pregnancies and births primarily bringing children that have negative impact on the welfare of child.
