Raytheon is testing different propellants for the Tomahawk missile used by the U.S. Navy. Independent random samples of missiles were obtained, and each was totally fueled with one of four types of solid propellant. Each missile was fired at the Navy test range near Point Mugu, California, and the total distance traveled was recorded (in km). The summary statistics are given in the following table.
Use the Kruskal-Wallis test to determine whether there is any evidence to suggest that at least two populations of distance traveled are different. Use a 5 0.05, and assume the underlying populations are continuous.
