As per the observation of the article, the truth is that being a librarian goes far beyond books being checked out. Teaching knowledge literacy is one of the most significant aspects of the work. Information literacy is described by the American Library Association as the ability to locate, assess and use the information required efficiently (Verma, pg. 2). It might sound dull but knowing where to turn for credible information in today's era of false news, and being able to differentiate between impartial and biased outlets, may just be one of the most important skills of our time.
