In the chapter 3 it has been observed that ethnography is one of the most distinctive research strategies of anthropology. Furthermore, ethnography is quite succ
essful research strategy in terms of developing a perspective that is emic and so it has been adopted by a lot of disciplines consisting of education, sociology, political science and psychology. It is an unique research method because not only it is an approach for spending considerable amount of time in terms of observing individuals in their home engaged in the daily activities but also at the same time participating in those activities.

It can be said that ethnography was mainly developed by the anthropologists for studying the small-scale, mainly the cultural groups who were isolated. Moreover, one of the most significant anthropologists such as Bronislaw Malinowski was considered as one of the most vital leaders in this particular leader as the ethnographic techniques used by him was quite unique. For example, one of the major elements of his method included the researcher for getting off their veranda and then communicates with the natives and lives among them. He also studied and analysed the people of Trobriand Islands and worked among the people.

It has been observed that the contemporary anthropologists in terms of using the contemporary techniques that were not at all reliable for gathering data about individuals throughout the globe.

From personal perspective it can be stated that I don’t believe that an excellent ethnography consists of the description in terms of what is observed by an anthropologist. Furthermore, it must also consist of the observation concerning the participants, survey along with the interviews, polyvocality, data analysis, etc.
