Short-term goals
Activities
Objectives
Growing social media presence
People from different countries and religions will know about the institution.
Sending email and newsletters
To keep the visitors up to date about the timings, pricing, security services of the museum.
Special discount on hotels
With the collaboration of the hotel, giving discounts to the visitors will contribute to the goal of attracting more visitors.
In order to meet the short-term goals for this museum project, the planners are focusing on three main points, such as growing social media presence, sending emails and newsletters and giving special discounts on the hotels for the visitors (Denizci Guillet & Mohammed, 2015). In the sequence to meet the perspective of the first plan, the authority of the museum is planning to spread this news through the social media platform. This is how the museum will be able to obtain a stellar reputation.
As it is a well-known fact that nowadays, social media is the best platform for any kind of promotion or advertisement, hence, by acquiring this strategy, the museum authorities are taking the effort to make a particular page about this museum and sponsoring it through social media ads as well as other pages. The main motive to target social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram is that by obtaining these platforms the planners of the museum will be able to get a huge amount of people in only one place. They will be able to spread knowledge and information about the museum and will be able to attract more people very easily.
If the second point to be considered then it can be said that by sending emails and newsletters to the interested visitors will help in building trust and reliabilities upon the museum very easily, which eventually will aid in gathering more visitors to the city. By this process, the visitors will stay up to date about the timings to visit the museum; they will be able to get aware about the pricing of the tickets and many other facilities and pieces of information (Deery & Jago, 2015). The main objective of giving a discount on the hotel is to make the stay of the visitors in the city more rejuvenating, memorable, comfortable.
Most importantly, it will be cheaper to the pocket of the visitors if they stay in the hotels that are in a partnership deal with the museum. The planners of the museum are making a plan to give a 50 per cent discount to the visitors, who will opt to stay in the hotels that are collaborating with the museum. This process has been obtained in order to make the main goal of the museum a huge success. Moreover, not the museum will be benefited by acquiring this methodology but the hotels and the government of the country will be benefited financially.
