1. Yes, in my opinion, a flawed pre-employment screening process must have caused the hiring of Jones. The pre-employment screening process includes identifying the candidates meeting the predetermined job qualifications and verifying the provided information. This spans from a review of the application to the final hiring decision. This must have gone defective as it seems, the verification was not done efficiently and the reasons for leaving previous jobs before even 1 year were supposed to be checked and verified. Also, the hiring decision needed to be double-checked.
2. In the hiring process of Jones, the warning signs that I would have noticed certainly would have been multiple short-lived jobs. Jones continuously moved from job to job and that is one red flag as this indicates either he was fired or forced to resign or maybe he is the kind of person who gets easily unhappy or bored with the position. I would have wanted to invest in more enduring dependents but Jones seems to be less likely to fulfill these...
