alled as a frisk. This is not than extensive though and is based on the instincts actually by the police officers. Frisk is mostly limited to a search of the outer garments of the person to look out for any weapons being carried. A frisk qualifies as a Fourth-Amendment “search,” but it’s more limited than your typical hunt for evidence but a search and a seizure enables the police to search for one’s vehicle, home and other possessions for evidence for illegal weapons, drugs etc.
