Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism (USA PATRIOT) Act of 2001, also known as the US patriot act was introduced and signed by then president George W. Bush. The act came into existence after the September 2001 attack on the twin towers. The main aim of the act is to increase the surveillance ability of the law enforcement, to increase the communication between federal agencies and to determine the activities which qualifies the terrorism charges (O’Donnel et al., 2004). The law was not passed in 2020 by the House of Representatives and hence is expired now.
The section 215 of the US patriot law states that states that the state has the authority to take and investigate every book, paper, record, document or related item in relation with the terrorist investigation. This makes it easier for the authorities for better investigation. However, the cons of the law is that the law can even demand the reading of anything from library patrons and is an attack on breadth of provision (Doyle et al., 2005).
The section 215 of the violation act violates the fourth amendment right of the constitution which states that the government does not have the authority to conduct search without any warrant. Though this section has already been expired o removed. In my opinion the section could be useful to several investigation related to terrorist attacks but the threat to privacy of society is also a crucial issue and hence this section has rightly being revoked (Woods et al., 2005).

The main functions of CBP is to ensure an unhampered flow of cargoes through the Ports of entry, it enforces the trade and custom laws which aims to prevent the consumers as well as the traders. The CBP also collect the custom revenues. Another important function of CBP is to reinforce security laws to prevent import as well as export of weapons and other illegal substances. Hence, CBP is meant to aid the commerce in every sense ad does not encourage illegal commerce. The organization and authority of the CBP is regulated by the congress which determine all of their trade functions (Ibarra et al., 2017).
The border fencing is a way of dividing the border between two nations and these are also the areas where the trading is under surveillance.
