Juveniles do not have the same rights in constitution in the proceedings as the adults do. Adjudication of Juvenile hearings is heard by the judges because of the offenders and youth that do not have the right to a trial by peers and jury. They also do not have the right to bail or to a public trial. Pass legislation in New York State to elevate the judicial accountability age from 16 to 18 and to give addiction treatment such as mental health treatment and academic possibilities (Jindra & Bittova, 2020). They assure that no adolescents under the age of 18 be sent to correctional facilities or jails. Exclusion from adults in prison should perhaps protect them. It is unsafe to house minors with adults. Youth in detention centers are more likely to attempt crimes, to be raped violently, attacked physically by employees and assaulted with a weapon, according to research. New York State's implementation of improvements is vital. New York State regulations have yet to be amended. Reoffending and re-arrest rates remain rising in the existing system, which disproportionately affects adolescents of colour. When it comes to employment, schooling, and job, these young people face obstacles (Delcea, Fabian, Radu & Dumbrava, 2019). Redirect the vast amount of situations to Family Court, and establish a special Youth Part for minors accused of more offending.
