1. List three purposes of the Air Quality Monitoring Network. Explain your answer.
Air Quality Monitoring Networks can be developed in partnership with the states
and
territories. These stations participate in measurement of contaminants and other chemicals in
the environment and keep the record of these measurements in the form of databases. According
to experts, such record might be termed as; a boon for mankind since; it is “One Solution for
Multiple Purposes” for instance;
1. This record might prove to be valuable for scientists who need to track and recognize
transformations in the quality of air.
2. Decision-makers may also take advantage of these databases as; with the assistance of
such well organized documentation they can recognize novel concerns and determine the
usefulness of air quality regulations. Such evaluation may prove to be helpful in
modification of existing policies and/or in formation of innovative strategies.
3. Researchers can be called dependent on such measurements as well because; they apply
facts drawn from them in development and testing of multifaceted air-quality models that
could be implemented to generate air-quality forecasts or to get an idea about the
probable impacts of proposed directives, novel techniques, and other modifications in the
surroundings.
In this way, such networks may prove to be precious in reduction of pollution and
preservation of Mother Earth.
